At CertiCon, we are developing a communication system for air traffic management in collaboration with a client who supplies these systems worldwide.
Our product is a distributed system used by air traffic controllers for ground telephone communication as well as for radio communication with pilots using analog radios. The CertiCon team is responsible for the development and testing of backend services for the telephone and control parts of this system.
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join us as a Test Manager.
What will you be doing?
- Creating and managing test plans.
- Coordinating test coverage across agile teams, the system team, and the test automation team.
- Defining test concepts for microservices architecture and test specifications.
- Supporting testers in creating automated tests.
- Managing tests and reporting status and progress.
- Tracking deviations and reporting bug fixes.
- Participating in product approvals and supporting ongoing development to improve test quality.

- Custom-developed framework for automated testing of distributed communication systems, test scenarios written in Gherkin, test steps in Java.
- Jama, Git, Jira, Confluence.

- Java, microservices.
- Elastic, Logstash, Kibana.
- RabbitMQ, Cassandra, etcd, RedHat Linux.

Requirements
Must-have:
- IT education specializing in one of the following fields: Test Management, Network Engineering, Communication Engineering, or Software Development.
- Several years of professional experience in testing.
- Technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to plan your work and coordinate efforts across multiple teams.
- Strong command of English.
- Willingness to travel – frequent trips to Vienna.
