At CertiCon, we have been working for a long time on the development and testing of a GSM-R terminal used by railway dispatchers. Simply put, it is a telephone device with many specialized functions that facilitate railway traffic management. The terminals we develop are used by railway companies in various countries across Europe, Asia, and Australia.
We are currently looking to strengthen our testing team, which helps us maintain product quality in line with customer expectations.
Testing is performed manually, but we are working on implementing automated tests in a proprietary framework to achieve greater functional coverage. This is a large and long-term project. We offer a stable job and a great team.
Job Description
- Ensuring the entire testing process for the terminal – a hardware IP phone with our supplied software.
- Test analysis of business requirements and creation of test cases.
- Reviewing/clarifying specifications with the customer.
- Formalizing (documenting) requirements.
- Formalizing (documenting) test scenarios.
- Testing new functionality and bug fixes.
What We Are Starting With in Testing
- Creating automated tests in Gherkin (a Domain-Specific Language designed so that expected application behavior can be described even by non-programmers).
- Automated tests are then executed in a proprietary framework called CATS, developed by our customer, which we continue to expand at CertiCon in Pilsen.
Requirements
- Attention to detail, independence, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to read specifications in English and write test scenarios in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of Java.
- Understanding of fundamental programming constructs.
